The start of Poppy Appeal 2013

The start of the Poppy Appeal began in practical terms today as we made up the boxes and filled with them with poppies. You may think a small town and district like Stow on the Wold wouldn't need many poppy boxes, however we create 250 boxes and use 300 collecting tins! Each year the seals on the boxes are coloured differently. This year we have beautiful purple seals on the collecting tins which are very noticeable!
