It gives me great pleasure in *finally* letting everyone know our 2016 total. We raised an incredible £12,300 in 16 days. Our amount is displayed on the winning poster by Jemima Hall from Bledington School. Thank you once again to all of our supporters for their generosity and our volunteers for their time.
This year our Poppy Launch and HQ raised over £4000 and that is partly thanks to my Mum, Marj, for knitting and hand finishing 300 poppies. She started in May as a surprise for me when I arrived home and by the first week the 150 she had hand finished sold out. By the second week she was back to knitting to order as the other 150 sold out. (She will not appreciate me saying this...) If you didn't get an opportunity to buy one of her knitted poppies email me sarah@stowonthewoldpoppyappeal.com and we can send them to you via post.
Anyway thank you to you all and your individual postcards will be delivered in the next week or so. Sarah

I am very happy to announce the School who won the first Bert England Memorial Award. 
Our judges thought it was a very difficult task, although one poster by Jemima Hall from Bledington stood out.  Congratulations to Bledington School and thank you to all the pupils from Stow Primary, Swell C of E School, and Longborough Primary for all of your beautiful posters which brightened our Poppy HQ.

At 11.30pm - 4pm on  Friday 28th November 2016, Stow on the Wold District Poppy Appeal will be launching the 2016 appeal on the Green in the Square

At 12pm we will be launching our Bert England Memorial Trophy and Cup with the help of Bert's family and friends.

It's time again to recruit volunteers for our appeal.  Collecting periods start on Saturday 29th  from 10am - 6pm each day.

If you can spare one hour of your day to help our appeal and raise vital funds to help the lives of ex-Forces people and their families, we would be very grateful.

• The public will be invited to vote for their favourite window by liking the photo on our Facebook gallery or casting their vote at The Poppy HQ.
• There will also be social media exposure during the competition using hashtag #StowPoppyWindows
• Windows must be on show from 9am on 5^th- 8^th November to be eligible for The People’s Prize. Photography will be taken at 11am.  
• Judging will start at 1pm on 5^th November.  

• The following words should feature somewhere on the poster:  together we raised ………………. in 2016.

• The poster must be on A4 size on white paper
• The name of the pupil, age, teacher and school must be written on the back of the poster.
• Only one entry per pupil
